The Unexpected

The Fire Country (火の国, Hi no Kuni)

The Fire Country is home location of Konohagakure, the Village Hidden in the Leaves (and is the home of the majority of the main characters in Naruto). It enjoys a relatively temperate climate with generally sunny conditions, allowing for bountiful harvests all year-round. Because of its location, the Land of Fire trades heavily with the other surrounding countries, giving it one of the largest populations and strongest economies in the world.

Konohagakure

A ninja village deep in the forests of Hi no Kuni, built into the trees themselves. The wooden buildings and towers make up a sprawling rural city, surrounded by a massive wooden wall on three sides and a large cliff-face on the fourth.

The Wind Country (風の国, Kaze no Kuni)

The Wind Country is a large, dry, and desolate country located on the desert, whose cities are typically found near water sources. While much of the country is inhospitable, the population is large and prosperous due to its frequent trading with the Fire Country. Its hidden village is Sunagakure, Village Hidden in the Sand.

Sunagakure

A ninja village constructed of sandstone and buried deep within the desert. The sandy village is made of tan stone buildings and towers in circular designs, and is protected by massive stone walls in a circle around it.

The Lightning Country ( 雷の国, Kaminari no Kuni)

The Lightning Country is a peninsula like Country, divided by a vast snowy and rocky mountain range, with numerous rivers running from it out to sea. Hot springs are also prevalent within the country. Villages exist all around the country, protected by its valleys or even peaks. Its economy is good, since it is one of the Five Great Countries and its hidden village is Kumogakure, the Village Hidden in the Clouds.

The Earth Country(土の国, Tsuchi no Kuni)

A land of rocky wastelands and huge mountains and cliffs. This country has small and low populated villages, with the exception of a couple of huge cities, home for the most of the country's population. Its main source of profit is the trade of minerals and precious stones, which are used in the crafting of weapons and armours. This is one of the five main countries and it contains a Shinobi Village of its own being it Iwagakure no Sato (Village Hidden in Rocks).

The Water Country (水の国, Mizu no Kuni)

The Water Country is composed of many islands, with each having its own unique traditions, although the main island (the biggest and most centred one) acts as the "capital" for it. The country's weather variates from typically cool (places where there's snow) and to warm (near the beaches). This country is completely influenced by the ocean and its main incoming comes from there, from big commercial trades.
